Job summary

VANRATH are recruiting an Electrical Service Engineer to join their established team in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. The role involves preventative maintenance, fault-finding on diesel generators, and supporting control systems for industrial equipment.

You will work independently within a dedicated service team, liaising with customers to deliver reliable solutions and ensure compliance with safety and manufacturer standards. Competitive salary plus training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time-served Electrical Engineer/Technician
• Experience on diesel generators and electrical control systems
• Fault-finding across industrial equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Full current driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on diesel generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform reactive maintenance on customer installations.
• Fault-find to component level within control panels and programs generator controllers.
• Assist with installation, upgrades and commissioning of generator systems.
• Provide on-site and remote support, and generate accurate service reports.
