Job summary

Norfolk & South Lincolnshire is seeking a hands-on Field Maintenance Engineer to cover sites across Norfolk and South Lincolnshire. This role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance with a strong electrical bias, three-phase systems, motors, pumps and PLC-controlled equipment.

You will diagnose faults, perform testing, support shutdowns, and maintain asset reliability. Benefits include a salary up to £47,500 plus a 15% bonus, company van, private healthcare, pension up to 7.5%, and 33 days

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
• HNC, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing or process environment.
• Good understanding of three-phase electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable travelling between sites and occasionally working independently.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across three sites, soon to be four.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out testing and rectification.
• Working on three-phase systems, motors and associated plant equipment.
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery and basic control systems.
• Supporting instrumentation including analogue and digital I/O.
• Using test equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, clamp meters and loop calibrators.
• Carrying out mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors and associated process equipment.
• Supporting shutdowns, plant start-ups and major maintenance activity.
• Monitoring specialist contractors working on site.
• Completing service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Managing your own workload across multiple sites.
