Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, inspect and repair electrical and telecoms infrastructure across multiple sites in the Bristol area. The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, a full UK driving licence and the ability to work outdoors and at height.

Standby duties and clear documentation are expected. Salary is £38-£40k with emphasis on safety, compliance and teamwork.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience in electrical installation, maintenance or fault-finding.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work outdoors and at height.
Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Good reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Install, test, maintain and repair HV/LV electrical equipment and related infrastructure.
Inspect overhead lines, pylons, telecoms masts and related equipment.
Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
Install and commission telecommunications equipment, cabling and systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety regs and company procedures.
Complete maintenance records, testing certificates and reports.
Support infrastructure upgrade projects and liaise with engineers, contractors and clients.
Maintain tools, testing equipment, PPE and climbing equipment.
Participate in standby and call-out duties as required.
Work effectively within a field engineering team.
