Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrician on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will carry out the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical and telecommunications infrastructure across multiple sites, ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards.

Ex-military applicants with relevant electrical qualifications or technical experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in electrical installation, maintenance or fault-finding.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work outdoors and at height.
Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Good reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Install, test, maintain and repair HV/LV electrical equipment and associated infrastructure.
Inspect overhead lines, pylons, telecommunications masts and related equipment.
Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
Install and commission telecommunications equipment, cabling and associated systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company procedures.
Complete maintenance records, testing certificates and reports.
Support infrastructure upgrade projects and liaise with engineers, contractors and clients.
Maintain tools, testing equipment, PPE and climbing equipment.
Participate in standby and call-out duties as required.
Work effectively within a field engineering team.
