Job Title: Field Chemist

As a Field Chemist, you will be responsible for supporting the Production Support Manager to deliver analytical performance. Your duties will include performing sampling and analysis according to recognized international methods and documented procedures, as well as preparing reports.

Key Accountabilities
  • Demonstrate compliance with all test methods, procedures, and quality systems essential for best practices.
  • Liaise with line managers and onshore support in case of equipment, methods, or sample issues, and initiate corrective actions to ensure service continuity.
  • Identify and implement improvements in laboratory operations to maximize equipment availability, maintain and enhance technical standards, and ensure profitability.
  • Ensure an adequate stock of consumables to maintain continuous productivity.
  • Ensure testing equipment is calibrated, safe, and suitable for use.
  • Complete routine sampling, analysis, and reporting daily, weekly, and monthly as per client procedures.
  • Coordinate with SGS onshore lab support.
  • Deliver high standards of analytical performance and ensure smooth operation of the platform laboratory.
  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with clients to provide analytical solutions and ensure service continuity.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have experience in offshore oil industry analysis, encompassing a broad spectrum of methods to meet stringent process and client demands.

  • Valid Medical, BOSIET, MIST certifications.
  • HNC level in chemistry or a related science field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in laboratory techniques and documentation.
  • Knowledge of process management and chemical optimization.
