Job summary

Helping Hands Home Care in Newcastle is seeking a Care and Training Practitioner to shape exceptional care and onboard new carers from interview through full onboarding. You’ll coach, guide and uplift your team while helping the branch maintain quality, compliance and meaningful relationships with customers.

It’s a role full of purpose, variety and real impact. The position supports on-call duties and branch governance, with a strong emphasis on person-centred care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant and a desire to take the next step in your career.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, encouraging approach to working with others.
• A people-first mindset - calm, kind and ready to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor and support new carers so they feel confident, capable and ready to deliver extraordinary care.
• Assist the branch team with compliance, auditing and documentation.
• Complete spot checks and supervisions to maintain high standards across your care team.
• Visit customers to review care plans, ensuring they remain accurate, safe and person-centred.
• Carry out risk assessments with care, clarity and professionalism.
• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.
