This field-based role involves working with landowners, farmers, local authorities, contractors and environmental organisations to drive projects from ideas to delivery.

Qualifications

• Background or relevant experience in forestry, woodland management, land management, countryside management or a related environmental field.

Responsibilities

• Support landowners in developing and delivering woodland creation projects.
• Promote the environmental, economic and social benefits of woodland creation.
• Advise landowners on grants, funding and incentives.
• Support forestry projects through regulatory and approval processes.
• Provide advice on felling licences, forestry regulations and environmental requirements.
• Assess woodland management plans and proposed forestry activities.
• Support woodland owners in managing tree health, pests, diseases and climate-related challenges.
• Promote sustainable woodland management and improve woodland resilience.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, farmers, businesses, local authorities and environmental organisations.
• Provide professional forestry advice across the region.
