Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group seeks an Operations Engineer in Canterbury to service power generation equipment across the region. You will fault-find, repair and maintain gas and diesel engines, ensuring reliability, safety and customer satisfaction.

The role is field-based with a company van, competitive pay and overtime. A mechanical qualification and 3+ years' industrial experience are expected, along with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical discipline.
• Time-served mechanical technician with 3+ years industrial experience.
• Strong knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines.
• Good understanding of engine/generator fundamentals.
• Power generation/CHP experience is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on power generation installations across Canterbury and surrounding area.
• Carry out fault finding, mechanical repairs and servicing to engine/generator equipment.
• Focus on reliability, safety and customer satisfaction in every job.
• Collaborate with customers and team to optimise performance.
