Job summary

Southern Housing seeks a knowledgeable Fire Safety Specialist to ensure high fire safety standards across our housing stock. The role combines field-based work with a London base and offers hybrid flexible arrangements.

You will build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, regulators, and external partners while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements and organisational policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fire and Building Safety within housing or similar.
• Level 3 Fire Safety qualification, with progression toward Level 4.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with external fire safety partnerships and authorities.
• Provide specialist fire safety advice to staff and contractors.
• Conduct audits of schemes and document findings.
• Investigate fire incidents and report recommendations.
• Engage residents on fire safety in homes and at forums.
• Deliver training to staff and contractors.
• Quality assure Fire Risk Assessment processes.
