Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Process Automation Engineer to support customers across mission-critical industries, with field-based duties traveling to sites in the North/North East region. You will maintain, configure and upgrade control systems (Experion PKS, TPS/TDC 3000) and work with PLCs, SCADA, HMI and cybersecurity technologies while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service engineering or related technical roles.
• Understanding of automation control and instrumentation.
• Ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, audit, configure, programme, install, commission, upgrade and migrate Honeywell control and safety systems (Experion PKS, TPS/TDC 3000).
• Diagnose and resolve issues affecting DCS hardware, software, input/output and field devices.
• Support LCN, UCN, PLC, SCADA, safety systems and connected digital technologies where applicable.
• Provide first-response technical support and act as a key Honeywell Technologies contact at customer sites.
• Build trusted customer relationships, understand operational needs and help identify appropriate solutions and service opportunities.
• Experience within a field service engineering or a related technical role; relevant practical, placement or apprenticeship experience is also welcome
• Understanding of automation control, instrumentation, electrical or electronic systems, with the ability to learn new technologies.
• Experience with Experion PKS, TPS/TDC 3000, LCN, UCN, Process Manager I/O, Series C, safety systems, HMI, SCADA, third-party controls, PLCs, industrial networking, virtualisation or cybersecurity is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication with customers and colleagues.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work effectively in demanding environments with limited supervision.
