Job summary
Severn Trent is seeking an Assistant Reservoir Surveyor to work on field-based inspections across the Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy region. The role combines practical outdoor surveying with the use of the latest technology to ensure reservoirs are safe and compliant.
You will be based from home with travel and overnight stays. Full training will be provided, and progression opportunities towards Reservoir Surveyor are available within the Dams and Reservoir Team.
Qualifications
- Practical, outdoor work orientation and a proactive approach.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Willingness to train towards professional status with Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
- Role involves travel across Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy regions including overnight stays.
- Surveying experience is advantageous but not required.
Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections and record accurate measurements at reservoirs and sites.
- Support deformation monitoring and general surveying activities.
- Ensure assets comply with Reservoirs Act 1975 and related regulations.
- Work in all weather conditions, including travel to remote locations.
