Bruker Daltonics has an opening for an Application Scientist located in New England (MA, CT, VT, NH, ME).

The successful candidate will provide on-site applications support for proteomics and biopharma LC-MS customers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. This includes support for the complete integration of the LC and MS systems, and training to ensure that the customer can successfully utilize the system for their desired applications.

Responsibilities

1. Provide on-site training after the initial installation of a new LC-MS system and demonstrate the complete solution for the customer’s application(s). Proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and software tools. Communicate regularly with the factory and regional applications team to obtain timely information on new products, software, and applications.
3. Provide necessary technical information during customer training courses to deliver optimal customer support.
4. Liaise with the Service Team for customer support issues, ensuring the completion of application-related inquiries and escalations as needed.
5. Support the Sales Team with advanced technical information and presentations on-site or via Webex to support sales cases.
6. Travel regularly to the Billerica, MA, and San Jose, CA, applications labs for training updates and to support pre-sales applications work, when available.
7. Assist in preparing new LC-MS training materials and collateral.
8. Utilize phone & WebEx to provide remote technical assistance regarding LC-MS connectivity, specific methods, and workflows.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years experience with a Master’s degree; or 3 years experience with a PhD.
2. Experience with mass spectrometry, HPLC, proteomics, and/or small molecule analysis.
3. Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or life/analytical sciences.
4. Experience with all Bruker software products is highly desirable.
5. Proficiency with MS Office.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
7. Ability to interact effectively with customers and in-house staff with varying levels of knowledge and technical expertise.
8. Ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
9. Self-motivation and willingness to work with others toward shared goals.
10. Willingness to travel, as frequent travel is required.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated range for this full-time position is between $87,000 and $138,000, with opportunities for growth and development within the role. The actual salary will depend on education, experience, skills, location, and other job-related factors.
