Job description

I am delighted to be partnering with a leading electronics company with an excellent reputation and global client base to find their next Field Application Engineer for this growing team.

You will join a diverse and friendly team of skilled colleagues who work across various disciplines in a modern building with lovely surroundings.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting customers in the UK and overseas, either via telephone, digital conferencing, email or on site. Your base will be Cambridge and international travel will be involved, typically once a month so a degree of flexibility is needed.

You should have:

  • A good technical understanding of Hardware Engineering and Software principles complemented by a relevant qualification.
  • Curiosity and not be afraid to research issues or discuss with colleagues from other disciplines.
  • Experience in using a range of different testing equipment.
  • Natural problem solving ability.
  • Confidence in dealing directly with customers and must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Capable of building strong customer relationships.
