Job Title: Field Application Engineer (FAE)

Supermicro, a Top Tier provider of advanced server, storage, and networking solutions, is seeking a talented and passionate Field Application Engineer to join our growing team. Our solutions cater to Data Center, Cloud Computing, Enterprise IT, Hadoop/Big Data, Hyperscale, HPC, and IoT/Embedded markets worldwide.

Job Summary:

The FAE will develop new and existing opportunities in the global IT market, working closely with customers at all levels, managing projects alongside internal and external teams, and supporting business growth. Customer focus and solution expertise are key, as well as ensuring business continuity and support.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide pre-sales technical support and occasional post-sales assistance.
  2. Promote Supermicro's technology and product portfolio within customer organizations.
  3. Assist with technical support escalations and pre-sales inquiries.
  4. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers across all levels.
  5. Develop and manage technical leads.
  6. Deliver and manage Proof of Concept (POC) demonstrations.
  7. Investigate and resolve technical issues.
  8. Train customers on new products and roadmaps.
  9. Support internal sales teams with training and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience of 5-10 years in IT, especially in Compute, Storage, and Networking; a related degree is desirable but not mandatory if offset by experience.
  • Strong solution design and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with operating systems, storage software, and network operating systems is beneficial.
  • Solid understanding of compute and storage hardware and architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey ideas and solutions effectively.
