Job summary

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking a Fibroscan Technician to support delivery of a high-quality, safe Fibroscan service within the Community Diagnostic Centre at New Addington and other Croydon sites. The role works under the Liver Specialist Nurse and clinical team to aid early detection and monitoring of liver disease and contributes to streamlined diagnostic pathways.

The post is predominantly based at the New Addington CDC with a 30-hour per week commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience performing Fibroscan assessments in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform Fibroscan assessments following local and national standards.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide information about the investigation.
• Record and communicate results accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated and used safely.
• Support service development and data collection requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing and administrative teams to maintain an efficient patient pathway.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
