Job description

Please note this role requires travel, and therefore a fully expensed van is included.

As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.

Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.

What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!

Joining us as a Fibre Quality Specialist

You will lead quality audits across field teams and suppliers, ensuring compliance with CityFibre standards and promoting a strong safety culture.

You’ll receive a competitive salary, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:

  • Supporting and encouraging positive safety practices
  • Completing audits across various installation types, including PIA
  • Drive a right first time (RFT) culture, delivering coaching and support to achieve successful customer connections
  • Supervise installation engineers to ensure safety, quality and processes are followed in line with CityFibre requirements
  • Support continuous improvement by resolving on-the-day issues, contributing to installation problem-solving, and participating in the on-call rota for emergency response

What you’ll bring to the role

We’re looking for a strong communicator with experience of auditing completed works and carrying out quality checks. You’ll also have:

  • Extensive knowledge of fibre including network build, FTTx installation, fault finding, fibre blowing and fibre splicing
  • Experience of OTDR / IOLM testing and knowledge of PIA – duct and/or pole installations
  • NRSWA – units 2 and 10 (desirable)
  • SA001 and SA002 Smart Awards
