Job summary

TE Connectivity in Swindon is seeking an Assembly Operator II to join the fibre optics production team. This entry-level role performs routine assembly and packaging tasks, with emphasis on accuracy and quality in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

The successful candidate will work in a cleanroom setting, follow standard work instructions, and participate in cross-training to support flexible station coverage. Overtime may be required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Experience in fibre optics manufacturing preferred (6 months to 1 year).
• Ability to follow written instructions and maintain quality with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and package fibre optic connector components following standard work instructions.
• Terminate single-fibre cables and perform basic polishing and testing procedures.
• Operate production equipment under supervision; maintain traceable documentation.
• Maintain cleanroom standards and wear required PPE at all times.
• Support production goals through efficient teamwork and communication.
