Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Assembly Technician at our Hastings site to operate automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot issues, and perform changeovers per production schedules. The role emphasizes quality checks, housekeeping, and adherence to EH&S policies.

You will join a team focused on minimizing defects and meeting output targets, with attention to reading drawings and following work instructions. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education.
• Good understanding of written and spoken English.
• Practical mechanical aptitude which can be demonstrated.
• Assembly experience is desirable.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Read and accurately interpret drawings.
• A good communicator who can advise on process technical improvements.
• Be reliable and willing to work additional hours when requested.

Responsibilities

• Understand and work to TE Connectivity documented departmental fundamental rules and company procedures.
• Maintain required standards in the assembling of connectors whilst ensuring good housekeeping disciplines.
• Reach the required standard of times as documented in the process routing; achieve departmental efficiency targets.
• Become self-disciplined and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Be a member of the team and work harmoniously with others to ensure smooth running of the department.
• Maintain Quality, Efficiency and Housekeeping to required standards.
