What you can expect from us

Everyone at CityFibre plays an important role, and our benefits reflect that. With a competitive salary depending on experience, you’ll enjoy 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, a performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

We believe we perform best when working together. We trust and empower our people to manage their own day-to-day tasks, promote wellbeing, and prioritize time to connect, collaborate, and share ideas with colleagues.

How you’ll change it up

As a fibre network planner in our Network Build division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, cost-efficiency, sustainability, and consistency of our network. Your responsibilities include reviewing planning packs to verify that proposed routes are logical and efficient for construction. Your day-to-day tasks will involve:

  • Collaborating on finalizing build sequences to ensure logical construction and activation of primary nodes.
  • Supervising the design of fibre architectures to align with the design plan.
  • Managing changes during the construction phase.
  • Verifying as-built documentation with the team.

What you’ll bring to the role

We seek a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail who excels in problem-solving environments. Since you'll handle multiple projects, the following qualities are desirable:

  • Experience with drafting and GIS.
  • Proficiency in accurate as-built and fibre record keeping.
  • Previous experience as a Fibre Network Planner in the telecom industry.
  • Strong understanding of local authority legislation related to utility and telecom builds.

We value people who don’t settle for ‘good enough’ and are eager to push things forward. If you’re interested, we want to hear from you. Let’s change it up together.

Our team brings diverse experiences and perspectives, which make us who we are.

CityFibre is committed to providing equal opportunities to people from all backgrounds, including considerations of carers, family status, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, gender, and gender identity. We also offer training and placement programs to support career changers, service leavers, and returning workers to join our team.
