Job summary

TE Connectivity in Swindon is seeking a motivated MQ Technician II to support the Quality Control team. You will perform inspections, testing and controlled release of customer products, working both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires attention to detail, experience in a manufacturing/Quality Control setting, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to 5S and Lean/Kaizen principles. BPSS clearance is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow EH&S policies and maintain safe working practices.
• Interpret and work to technical documentation (drawings, specifications, test reports).
• Record inspection and test results accurately with traceability.
• Ensure equipment calibration checks are completed prior to use.
• Visual inspection of fibre optic connectors/end faces using microscope-based inspection.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and release customer products ensuring quality standards.
• Raise non-conformances and support RCCA/8D activities.
• Liaise with engineering, production and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Utilise SAP and other digital systems for traceability and quality records.
