Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Fettler to join our team near Truro. You will grind, deburr and finish metal components to tight tolerances using hand tools and machinery.

This permanent role offers a 4-day week and on-site work with a salary of £27,101 per year.

You will work to engineering drawings, handle quality checks and keep work areas safe and tidy, with pension and parking benefits provided.

Responsibilities

• Fettling, sanding, and de-burring metal components to engineering drawings
• Operating hand, air, and power tools to remove sharp edges and finish parts
• Part marking, reworking parts, and supporting quality control checks
• Collection/movement of parts from different locations within the factory.
• Meet the expected standards of accuracy, efficiency and quality as set by the Company
• Inspect completed work for defects and make necessary repairs as required
• Maintain tools and equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Operation of all associated machinery and tools to move components

Position: Fettler

Location: Truro

Type of position: permanent

Salary: £27101 per annum

Working hours: Monday – Thursday, 06.30 – 16.45

We are seeking a Fettler to join our team based near Truro. You will be required to use hand tools and machinery to grind, de-burr, remove weld spatter and finish metal components to specified tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Fettling, sanding, and de-burring metal components to engineering drawings


• Operating hand, air, and power tools to remove sharp edges and finish parts


• Part marking, reworking parts, and supporting quality control checks


• Collection/movement of parts from different locations within the factory.


• Meet the expected standards of accuracy, efficiency and quality as set by the Company
