Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting for Seasonal Mail Sorters to support Carlisle operations during the busy Christmas period. You will handle letters and parcels, move mail around sorting centres, and help with efficient sorting with a focus on pace and accuracy. No prior experience required; training will be provided.

Multiple shift patterns are available at Carlisle Mail Centre and Carlisle Distribution Centre. The role is temporary, pays an hourly rate depending on shift, and comes with on-site

Qualifications

• No prior warehouse or mail sorting experience required.
• We are looking for people with a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Able to perform physically active tasks and handle items up to 11 kg.

Responsibilities

• Unloading letters and parcels from delivery lorries.
• Moving mail around sorting centres and warehouses.
• Helping sort letters and parcels quickly and accurately.
