Job description

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of quality care to patients under direct supervision of senior staff within the CRM. Participation in monitoring and the maintenance of standards and effective use of all available resources under direct supervision, whilst ensuring the highest possible standard of evidence-based care. The post holder will report to the Nurse Manager as required.

Please note this post is not suitable for applicants who are required to undertake the OSCE training programme. Applicants who do not have current valid UK NMC registration will not be considered for this post.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct. Will contribute to corporate activities, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.
• To assess, plan, implement and evaluate plans of individualised patient care as part of the MDT.
• Provide pre and post treatment information for patients, written and verbal. Obtaining information consent and discussing emotional, ethical and legal issues.
• Plan and co-ordinate treatment cycle.
• Handling of patient telephone and email queries with support from senior nurses.
• Undertake blood taking with senior support when required.
