Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Fertility Specialist Nurse (Band 6) to deliver nurse-led fertility and IVF care at the Cotswold Fertility Unit. This 22.5 hours/week post is fixed-term for 18 months, with duties including ultrasound scanning, venepuncture and patient education across the fertility journey.

You will work 3 days (Mon-Fri) 08:00-16:00, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, patient-centred care in line with HFEA

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Midwife with NMC registration.
• Accredited ultrasound qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification (FLAP/998/997/730).
• Clinical experience and/or interest in Fertility.
• Adaptable and Flexible; calm under stress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fertility and IVF nursing care including ultrasound scanning and symptom management.
• Provide education, support and guidance to patients throughout the fertility journey.
• Coordinate care and liaise with MDT, GPs, external agencies and partner IVF centres.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity of care.
• Promote safe, high-quality patient-centred care in line with standards and regulations.
