ADM Agriculture operates from locations throughout England and offers a people-based quality service to farmers and consumers. As well as providing an integrated supply chain to ADM’s UK assets in milling and oil seed crushing, ADM Agriculture supplies a full range of non-grain feed ingredients to the feed and fuel markets, alongside a comprehensive range of seed and fertiliser products.

Role Purpose

The Fertiliser Trader / Lead on Wholesale Development role is to trade with suppliers and price fertiliser products for Farm Traders. The goal is to develop opportunities and margin on fertiliser for wholesale sectors.

Responsibilities

1. Generate opportunities and margin within fertiliser wholesale sectors.
2. Take responsibility for day-to-day fertiliser trading in the absence of the Head of Fertiliser, working within the set parameters and trading standards.
3. Manage and develop the ADM Agriculture wholesale fertiliser business across the UK.
4. Attend and assist in supplier strategy meetings with the Head of Fertiliser as required.
5. Communicate UK and global market trends to fertiliser customers and farm trading teams.
6. Manage and develop business with your customer base within trading standards set by the Head of Fertiliser.
7. Hold regular meetings with farm traders and attend meetings when required.
8. Collaborate with the Lead on Retail development and Fertiliser Logistics & Trading Support for smooth execution of all retail and wholesale fertiliser business.
9. Expand the ADM alternative fertiliser range and link to ADM regeneration programmes.
10. Represent the company at corporate events and shows.
11. Address complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
12. Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager.

• Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and bespoke systems.
• Attention to detail and proactive ownership of duties.
