Are you ready to take the helm of one of the region’s most iconic transport services? Westmorland and Furness Council is looking for a proactive and organised Ferry Operations Team Leader to lead the day-to-day running of the Windermere Ferry service. This vital role withinour Highways Operations Team ensures the smooth and reliable operation of a key transport link. You’ll be at the centre of ferry operations—managing staff and rotas, coordinating routine and planned maintenance, overseeing service continuity during absences, and leading clear communication with the public and stakeholders. You'll also work closely with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) to ensure safety and compliance, manage procurement of contractors, and drive advertising and promotional initiatives.
