Salary up to £31,000

We are the largest provider of repairs, maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provides tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnerships with over 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations, and Housing Associations.

Annual salary: up to £31,000

Location: Peterborough

Full-time, Permanent, 42.5 hours per week

About The Role

As a Fencing Labourer, you will assist the Lead Fencer in constructing, repairing, and maintaining various types of fences and gates, such as wood, metal, and chain link. Your tasks include measuring and marking fence lines, digging postholes, assembling and installing fence sections, and using hand and power tools. You will also prepare sites, clear debris, level ground, and clean up after work. This role is physically demanding and requires working outdoors in different weather conditions while following safety protocols.

Key Criteria

• UK full driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Previous experience in fencing.
• Knowledge of social housing is advantageous.
• Good communication skills.

All roles require entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.

All roles are subject to DBS/Security checks before employment begins.
