Job description

Female Waking Nights Support Worker (Part-time) - Leicestershire

Join us as a Waking Night Learning Disability Support Worker and help build a future where learning disabled people live the best life possible.

We know that life can be complicated for everybody. But some of us are stopped from working towards our dreams. Many learning disabled people aren’t heard about the support they'd like. Some aren’t able to decide what they do for work or how to spend or save their money. Many won't get to try out new hobbies they’d love to try.

But you can change all that.

Join our growing Waking Night team in Leicestershire and get all the training you need to become a confident Support Worker.

If our values - Kind, Diverse, Positive, and Visionary - resonate with you, then we already have lots in common. Come on board and support learning disabled adults with those very values to develop skills, achieve their life goals, and thrive in your community.

Waking night support workers are required to remain awake throughout the night to support individuals as needed. As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will support individuals during the night to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

What we offer you:

  • Type of service: Supported Living - supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Location: Market Harborough / Kibworth, Leicestershire
  • Salary: £ per hour (£ basic rate + 10% Waking Nights premium)
  • Working hours: Waking Nights 9pm-7am, 3 nights a week (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights)
  • Up to 20% bank holiday allowance
  • Generous Holidays: 33 days of annual leave (including eight statutory bank holidays)
  • Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas
  • Training & development: Earn money while obtaining a fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Benefits: Health, retail, and cash incentives to use as you wish

What you'll be doing:

Every day is different. You may support someone to plan their weekly shop, go on outdoor adventures, provide personal care, support them to attend events, or teach money management skills. Your goal is to support people in discovering new interests, achieving goals, and maintaining relationships with family and friends.

You will provide the highest standard of care and support for learning disabled adults, listening to their needs, assisting with daily tasks like medication and cooking, and helping them build confidence to pursue new adventures. Supporting a variety of shifts will help maintain a good work-life balance.

Public transport to our service is limited; therefore, having a driving license and access to a car, or assistance with transportation, would be beneficial.

We can't wait to meet you at our Leicestershire services!

Find your place with us and change lives.
