Job summary

Acuity Care Group seeks a female overnight support worker in Nottingham to provide one-to-one care for a woman with a high-level spinal cord injury. The role is 22:00–09:15 on Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week, with potential overlap with a second team member.

Job Types: Permanent / Full or part-time

Work location:Nottingham, England
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday - 22:00pm - 9:15am - 36 hours per week (3 night shifts)

We are looking for a female support worker to join a small, dedicated team providing one-to-one overnight support for a friendly and independent woman living with a high-level spinal cord injury (C6/7 Tetraplegia).

She is articulate and enjoys reading, gardening, visiting garden centres, and swimming. She values calm, capable support that allows her to maintain her independence, comfort, and dignity.

About the Role

You’ll provide respectful and attentive support throughout the night, ensuring comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met. There are occasional 2:1 overlaps with another team member when needed.

This role involves:

• Supporting with repositioning, using appropriate equipment.
• Monitoring wellbeing and ensuring a peaceful night’s rest.
• Promoting dignity, choice, and a person-centered approach at all times.

Experience supporting someone with a spinal injury is highly valued, as is confidence in continence and bowel care. Please be aware you will be asked if you are comfortable carrying out bowel care as part of the role.
