What makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work: Our Benefits:
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Are you a positive and motivated person who is experienced in supporting individuals who have significant healthcare needs and can exhibit behaviour that challenges?
Are you looking to gain great experience in a satisfying job where you feel supported?
If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for!
At our Abbeyhill service, we currently support 4 individuals (3 ladies and a gentleman) who live in two adjoining, shared flats in Edinburgh city centre.
The people we support enjoy a wide range of different activities, like socialising, going for a walk, listening to music, dancing, arts and crafts and going shopping, going on holiday and generally being pampered (for the ladies!). They’re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.
Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and provide support with:
We are currently recruiting for a female Support Worker for a 29-hour temporary role with flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday as follows:
This position is to cover a period of maternity leave for 9-12 months, but this role may be extended or made permanent by mutual agreement.
Your values: The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun!
We like people who are reliable and honest and are able to remain calm under pressure, so they can support people effectively and build fantastic relationships.
