A Community Support Organization in Swansea is seeking a compassionate Female Support Worker to assist individuals with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will help clients with daily activities, encourage community involvement, and provide personal care. No prior experience is necessary, and extensive training will be provided. A driving license is essential for the role, which offers part-time and full-time hours along with competitive pay and benefits.

Location: Swansea
Hours: We have both part-time (minimum 10 hours per week) and full-time hours (maximum 40 hours per week). Please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do.
Salary: £12.74 per hour, sleep-in shifts at £60 per night, and travel expenses paid at 45p per mile.
Contract: Permanent

In this rewarding female Support Worker role based in Swansea, you’ll be part of a vibrant team supporting individuals across 14 supported living services, all tailored to meet the needs of people with learning disabilities. A key part of the role involves encouraging community access and helping people engage with local opportunities that enrich their lives. You might also support individuals to participate in activities at our dedicated community hub, the Social Bean, which offers a weekly programme including bingo, cookery sessions, and Zumba. One of the people we support is especially proud to volunteer at the hub, using her creativity to design posters for upcoming events.
Each day might bring something different — supporting someone to manage their money, maintain their home, or access essential appointments, while helping them build confidence and independence through meaningful routines and active lifestyles. For example, physical activity like running and movement-based exercises can help manage challenging behaviour in a positive way. The role may include personal care, so confidence in providing this support is important. Due to the needs of the people we support and the requirement to travel between services and into the community, being a driver with access to your own vehicle is essential.
