Job description

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our team in Newhaven. We have permanent part-time positions (30 hours per week).

At our Newhaven service, we support 6 people in a shared home and also support an individual living in the community. You will provide high-quality, flexible support to individuals with learning disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible and enjoy a fulfilling life. It is preferred if you hold a full UK driving licence, as some of the individuals we support have their own cars, and driving is necessary to access various locations.

What we're looking for:

• A genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options:

• Part-time: 30 hours

All our services provide 24-hour care. We prepare rotas at least 4 weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your personal and social life!

• Days: Between 07:00-22:00
• Sleep-in shifts are also available, with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
