Job Description:

Female Support Worker - Must be able to drive an automatic vehicle to support driving the service vehicle.

£12.71 per hour

35 hours per week

Various contracted hour shifts available (to suit your lifestyle).

The Role:

We provide individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as normal a life as possible. To achieve this, flexibility is required as shifts include bank holidays, weekends, and potential sleep-ins.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Participate in the day-to-day implementation of support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others, respecting confidentiality.
  • Support service users with meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and social events.
  • Maintain accurate notes and records as required.
  • Work as part of a team to provide high-quality care.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience supporting adults with challenging behavior, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Passion for working with vulnerable adults.
  • Commitment to safeguarding standards.
