You’ll be part of a specialist team providing 1:1 tailored care to adults with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD), and behaviours that challenge—within one of our most intensive support settings.
As an Intensive Support Worker, your role will be to empower individuals to live with dignity, independence, and purpose. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Encouraging meaningful engagement through activities and structured routines
Assisting with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and attending health appointments
Supporting individuals to access the community and participate in hobbies or social events
Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours with skill, care, and compassion
Keeping care plans, safeguarding reports, and risk assessments accurate and up-to-date
You will play a vital role in improving lives—often in ways that only someone like you can.
Essential Experience & QualitiesWe’re seeking someone who has:
A minimum of 6 months’ direct experience supporting individuals with EUPD, self-harm or ligature risks, and behaviours that challenge
A calm, emotionally resilient, and confident approach under pressure
A sound understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and person-centred care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to respond to complex situations with professionalism, empathy, and safety in mind
