Job Introduction

£1,000 joining bonus for those hired for our registered care services in Avondale and Hollygrove.

As a Support Worker, you will make a real difference to residents' lives by improving their daily living skills. Passionate about people, you will have the opportunity to enhance your career through experience and training.

Where will I be working?

You will work at our residential service supporting 8 individuals with Learning Disabilities. Our care services focus on people's whole lives, making them human and personal. The culture is crucial, and staff are its heart, embodying its values.

As a support worker, you will provide a person-centred approach, managing clients' homes, personal care, community access, and maintaining contact with important people. Services are tailored to promote independence, supporting those with learning disabilities, Autism, and other health conditions. You may attend GP and hospital appointments. A full UK driving license is preferable.

Shift Patterns

This is a 24-hour service requiring flexibility. Shifts may range from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:00/3:00 pm and 2:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00 pm, including sleep-ins or waking nights, some weekends. Hours may vary by service.

Role Responsibilities

What will I be doing?

This hands-on role involves:

  • Promoting independence by developing life skills and interests
  • Supporting daily activities like cleaning, cooking, outings, and holidays
  • Organizing activities within the home and community
  • Assisting with personal care and manual handling
  • Supporting medication management
  • Using digital social care records to streamline documentation and focus more on support
