Job summary
Independent Living Solutions Ltd. seeks caring Night/Day Support Workers in Stanmore, London. You will support Carrie, a teenager with complex medical needs, epilepsy, and PEG feeding, in home settings, with a mix of day and night shifts.
Prior experience in pediatric care is highly valued, along with a compassionate, professional approach. The role offers varied shifts, DBS checks, training, and ongoing support from a dedicated Case Manager and HR team.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting children with complex medical needs.
- Confident with epilepsy management and PEG feeding.
- Comfortable working night shifts (waking and/or sleeping).
- Able to work with specialist equipment (training provided).
- Willingness to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull as part of manual handling.
- Suctioning experience.
- Experience administering medication and following therapy-led care plans.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with all aspects of care relating to Carrie.
- Be part of a high-quality nursing team supporting Carrie to provide safe and effective care.
- Administer drinks and medication using her gastrostomy (training provided).
- Promote self-esteem and confidence.
- Promoting an engaging environment.
- Work cooperatively with Carrie's parents, Case Manager and team of therapists.
- Accompany Carrie on holiday, short breaks and time away of up to 10 days in the UK.
