Job summary

A supportive organization in Lewes seeks a Female Support Worker to assist a 19-year-old woman in increasing her social activities and independence. The ideal candidate will provide companionship, transportation, and other support to help her navigate community interactions and build confidence. Applicants must be women, possess a driver’s license, and preferably be non-smokers. This position offers flexible hours at an hourly pay rate of £12.21.

Support needed for our 19yr old daughter to increase her social activities and independence.

We have moved into the area and she has lost all her social contacts.

She would like someone to help her find fun places to go and activities to try independently, boosting her confidence and therefore reducing her reliance on us.

She has a happy disposition but also a learning disability, becomes anxious in new places, and she needs help with travelling.

She attends college part time and is hoping for someone to be available Saturday afternoon if possible.

Duties include:
- Administration
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Assist with social interaction and accessing the local community

Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful

- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- Experience with learning disabilities,
- Good sense of humour,
- Clear communication,
- A person nearer to her age with knowledge of the local area.
