The Care Bureau Limited is seeking a Female Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a young woman living with Rett Syndrome, epilepsy and mobility/communication difficulties in her Leamington Spa home.

Ideal candidates are calm, patient and reliable, with experience in medication administration and a commitment to person-centred care. Travel to the client’s home and weekend long-day shifts are required. Training for rescue medication is provided.

Qualifications

• Female only role due to genuine occupational requirement.

• Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete specialist training.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 supervision and support due to epilepsy and fall risk.
• Assist with personal and continence care, showering, and dressing.
• Support safe transfers and mobility per care plans.
• Support use of the client's manual wheelchair.
• Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately.
• Administer emergency epilepsy rescue medication when required (training provided).
• Monitor wellbeing and notice changes in condition.
• Communicate calmly to reduce seizure triggers.
• Promote choice, dignity, independence, and activities.
• Work closely with family and wider care team.

Female Support Worker - Complex Care (Weekend Long Days)

We are seeking a Female Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a young woman living with Rett Syndrome, epilepsy, scoliosis, and associated mobility and communication difficulties in her family home in Leamington Spa.

This role would suit someone calm, patient, reliable, punctual, and genuinely passionate about delivering high-quality person-centred care. Driving is not essential; however, applicants must be able to travel reliably to the client\'s home in Leamington Spa and arrive on time for shifts.

About the Role

The client is non-verbal and communicates through eye contact, facial expressions, sounds, and gestures. She enjoys being given choices and being supported to maintain as much independence as possible. A Support Worker who is patient, observant, and willing to learn her individual communication style will be essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 supervision and support due to epilepsy, seizure activity, and fall risk
• Assisting with personal care, continence care, showering, and dressing
• Supporting safe transfers and mobility in line with care plans
• Supporting the use of her manual wheelchair
• Administering prescribed medication safely and accurately
• Administering emergency epilepsy rescue medication when required (full training provided)
• Monitoring wellbeing and recognising changes in condition
• Communicating calmly and reassuringly, particularly as sudden or loud noises may trigger seizure activity
• Promoting choice, dignity, independence, and involvement in enjoyable activities
• Working closely with family members and the wider care team

• Available to work regular weekend long-day shifts

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience administering medication
• Experience within a care or support worker role
• Ability to travel independently to the client\'s home in Leamington Spa
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to complete specialist training, including rescue medication training
