Hours: 2 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £13.09 per hour. Holidays are 5.6 weeks per year, pro-rata.

Area: Ashington, Northumberland

To support access to community activities and occasional health appointments.

We are looking to recruit a support worker/enabler to assist a young adult in accessing the community with various activities.

Support Hours: 2 hours per week – flexible timing. The role involves supporting activities like walks in the countryside or visits to places like escape rooms.

Main Duties:

• Support to access the community and outdoor activities.
• Support to become more active.
• Support for healthcare appointments, understanding discussions and outcomes.

Person Specification:

The successful applicant must:

• Have some understanding of how health impacts mental health and well-being.
• Understand anxiety and its effects.
• Be patient and able to build a relationship gradually.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Female applicants only.

Additional Requirements: An Enhanced DBS Check is required, with costs covered by Northumberland County Council. There is a genuine occupational requirement for the post to be held by a female in accordance with relevant legislation.
