Job summary

Priority Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for a 24/7 care recipient in North Yorkshire. You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with feeding and medications, and safely operate hoists as required.

The role involves 12- and 24-hour shifts, weekends, and CDL-appropriate driving. Training in moving & handling and safeguarding is provided to support independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Female Support Worker (genuine occupational requirement)
• Experience supporting individuals with complex physical needs preferred
• Familiarity with hoists and cerebral palsy is desirable (training available)
• Confident providing personal care
• Good spoken English
• Reliable, proactive, and able to use initiative
• Passionate about supporting independence and quality of life

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care with dignity and respect (including bathing, dressing, and hygiene)
• Supporting with feeding and medication administration
• Using ceiling track and mobile hoists safely (training available)
• Following detailed, person-centred care plans
• Supporting daily routines, including later bedtimes and flexible mornings
• Encouraging independence and confidence away from family support
• Supporting social activities, outings, and trips
• Driving the client using a WAV automatic vehicle
• Liaising with the Team Leader and wider care team
• Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures
