Responsibilities

  • Providing assistance with personal care tasks.
  • Offering 1:1 and 2:1 support when out in the community.

  • Assisting with housework, shopping, cooking, budgeting, and appointments.

Are you enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about making a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for a Female Support Worker to join our team in Wokingham! You will be supporting three wonderful individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy. They are all wheelchair users and enjoy a variety of activities.

They enjoy:

  • Community Activities: Engaging in various community activities.

What Will You Be Doing? Each day will be different, but you will be supporting with:

  • Personal Care: Providing assistance with personal care tasks.
  • Community Support: Offering 1:1 and 2:1 support when out in the community.
  • Mobility Assistance: Supporting individuals who use wheelchairs.
  • Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and supporting residents with their dietary needs.
  • Medication Administration: Ensuring residents receive their medication as prescribed.
  • Household Tasks: Assisting with housework, shopping, cooking, budgeting, and attending hospital/GP appointments.
  • Emotional Support: Providing reassurance and managing behaviours positively.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, upbeat, compassionate, and kind. You should be:

  • Experienced with Disabilities: Comfortable working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy.
  • Strong Communicator: Able to provide clear and confident communication.

Shift Patterns:

  • Flexible Across the Week: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sleep-Ins: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Occasional Cover Required)
