Who we are looking for: A female Support Worker to support a lady with a learning disability and Fragile X Syndrome. Driver preferred and must be able to swim. Part-time and full-time hours are available.

What support is required:

• Administering medication
• Accessing the community and activities, including day trips and travelling further afield
• Attending concerts and pantomimes
• Going swimming with full support in the swimming pool
• Supporting and prompting with personal care
• Maintaining daily routines
• Preparing meals
• Arts and crafts
• Baking
• Activities involving letters and numbers
• Singing and music

What kind of personality are we looking for:

• An energetic person with a good sense of humour who can be creative to make each day fun. The person should also be calm, relaxed, and patient.
• Someone with good communication skills who respects people's homes and belongings.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities is essential.

*All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references. Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female-only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act, Schedule 9, Part 1.
