We are seeking a team of female support workers to care for a client with a spinal injury.

The ideal candidate would be someone who can support our client's daily exercises, assist the client with personal care including hair, makeup, and nails, walk reasonable distances, and prepare meals. The candidate should also keep the client's home clean, tidy & organized.

This is a part-time position around 25 hours a week

Shifts available:

Week 1: Monday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00 - 15:00

Week 2: Tuesday 14:00 - 22:00, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday 07:00 - 22:00

Weekend working is required for this role.

Skills and personal characteristics needed to be a carer are:

• Caring and kind with a desire to make a difference in clients’ lives.
• Cheerful and friendly.
• Willing to be hands-on with clients at all times while following their care plan.
• Willing to do personal care tasks (washing, toileting, etc.).
• Willing to undertake more complex care including tracheostomy, nebulizers, peg feeding, or stoma, and bowel care.
• Administering medication.
• Able to follow instructions and procedures.
• Able to prepare meals to the client's taste.
• Able to work in a team but also use their initiative.
• Willing to adapt to ongoing training as client’s practice and needs may change.
