Support Worker Role at Fitzroy Services in Uckfield

Fitzroy Services in Uckfield supports six adults with learning disabilities. You will join an established and caring team of support workers and managers, working in a fast-paced environment with lots going on! The people we support enjoy activities such as day services, social outings, fundraising, and visits to the local pub. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents have access to the activities they choose to participate in.

Essential Requirements:

• A full UK, manual driving licence is essential, as you will be driving our vehicles and participating in community activities.

Note: Due to the requirements of the people we support, we are recruiting female support workers.

Salary and Benefits:

• Day shift: £11.25 per hour on weekdays and £12.38 on weekends.
• Additional £2.50 for overtime shifts.
• Time and a half or double time for public holidays.
• Sleep-ins are paid at £50 per night.
• 30 days holiday from the start of employment.

About the Role:

As a support worker, you'll wake up every day feeling good about your work. No previous care experience is necessary; as long as you have the right values, we will provide training and support to help you deliver care and support that transforms lives for people with disabilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting individuals according to their unique needs.

• Assisting with personal care, such as showers and baths.

Working Hours:

You will work a set pattern of morning and afternoon shifts, each lasting 7.5 hours. A full-time contract is 37.5 hours per week, typically involving 5 shifts. Shifts start as early as 7 am and finish as late as 10 pm. Weekend work is essential and will be on a rotating basis, with time off in lieu during the week when weekends are worked.
