Female Support Worker

I am recruiting several CARING and PASSIONATE Support Workers to join a Residential Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. The service, which is located in Henllan, Denbighshire, supports adults aged between 18 - 65.

The service is looking for candidates with a caring nature and the ability to have fun and engage with the people they support.

• Salary: £27,736 - £28,899 (including sleeps). Plenty of overtime available!
• Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week, 1 sleep per week.
• Contract: Permanent.
• Shifts: A variety of shifts including optional sleeps including weekends.
• Location: Henllan, Denbighshire.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for the following:

• Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
• Ensuring the safety of the service users.
• Following care plans for each individual.
• Taking service users out into the community.
• Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
• Varying levels of personal care.

Requirements of the Support Worker Role:

• No experience is required.
• Must be resilient.
• Drivers ESSENTIAL due to location.
• Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
• Due to the personal care nature of the service user, gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
