Female Support Worker – Cowdenbeath, Fife
Location: Residential Area of Cowdenbeath
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (39 hours per week)

Are you a caring and compassionate individual looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? We are currently recruiting female support workers to join our dedicated team in Cowdenbeath. You will be supporting five women in their own homes, helping them to live as independently and fully as possible.

About the Role:
You will support individuals in their day-to-day lives, promoting independence and dignity while providing personal and practical assistance. This includes:

Assisting with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry

Supporting individuals with personal care needs

Encouraging and facilitating community involvement and recreational activities

Attending healthcare appointments and supporting with medication

Helping individuals to build life skills and maintain positive relationships

You’ll be part of a team that works closely with families, healthcare professionals, and peer networks to create inclusive, fulfilling lifestyles for the individuals we support.

What We’re Looking For:

A caring, reliable, and compassionate nature

Patience, resilience, and the ability to bring positivity to your work

Willingness to work on a 4-week rolling rota, including some weekends

Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when needed

Basic IT skills to complete support documentation

Understanding of learning disabilities and person-centred support

Commitment to promoting dignity, choice, and independence

Willingness to work toward an SVQ3 in Health & Social Care (if not already held)

A full driving licence is desirable but not essential

Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. Full training and mentoring will be provided.
