We are looking for Support Workers to join our dedicated team and help individuals live independent and fulfilling lives.

About us

Real Life Options is a registered charity experiencing growth. We are seeking permanent contracted Support Workers who want to make a positive impact on the lives of the people we support.

We provide creative, dynamic, and person-centred services, offering support to people in shared supported living and individual tenancies.

About the role

The service includes four tenants, three with autism. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting adults with complex physical health needs and using alternative communication methods.

Health needs and challenges include:

Prada Willi, Autism, Diabetes, Epilepsy, and Challenging behaviour.

The Durham service is a small supported living facility in a rural setting, five miles from Durham city, with some transport links.

A typical day:

You will support individuals in daily activities, promoting choice and independence. Activities include personal care, finances, cooking, shopping, and cleaning.

You will encourage active participation in the community and at home, with activities like walks, outings, arts and crafts, shopping, cinema, bowling, baking, and listening to music.

This role involves shift work, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Flexible shifts are available (e.g., 10am-3pm or 10am-4pm).

An enhanced DBS check for both adults and children is required.
