1st Homecare in Kilmarnock is seeking Female Support Workers to join our homecare team. The role covers personal care, daily living tasks, and companionship across customers' homes, with shifts including full-time, part-time and bank/relief.

You will receive training and support, mileage of 30p per mile, and a generous holiday allowance. A PVG check is required, and a female candidate is preferred under applicable law.

Shift Options

We offer a variety of shift patterns to help you balance work with your lifestyle:

• Bank and relief hours

Our full-time support worker rota follows a two-week repeating pattern:

• Week 1:Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  7:00am-2:00pm & 4:00pm-10:00pm (split shift) - 40 hours

• Week 2:Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  7:00am-2:00pm & 4:00pm-10:00pm (split shift) - 30 hours

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to people in their own homes. You’ll support individuals with a variety of daily living tasks, including:

• Personal care and hygiene
• Meal preparation and serving
• Medication prompts and administration
• Catheter care
• Companionship and emotional support

This role is consideredRegulated Work with Vulnerable Adultsunder the PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Scotland Act 2007. A PVG check will be required for successful applicants.

Due to the nature of the role, we require a Female candidate under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
