Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.

Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’. We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards! We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Are you seeking a career that offers variety and satisfaction? Do you enjoy working with people and want to make a real difference?

Then this could be the ideal career opportunity for you!

Community Integrated Care is recruiting for a part-time (9, 18 or 27 hour) Female Support Worker in Inverness.

This service provides person-centred support to a gentleman with all aspects of his daily living. You will be required to work in a flexible manner that meets the needs and preferences of the person we support, enabling them to live the life they choose.

As a Support Worker you will work as part of a team, providing a safe and inspiring environment. You should be confident and interested in supporting with various activities such as swimming, shopping, walking, travelling on the bus, attending Inverness college, going on holiday and helping with home-based tasks. You should have a sense of fun but be able to work with a calm and reassuring approach to support this gentleman's needs.

There is no overnight support required in this role and our shift pattern is from 10am to 6.30pm from Monday - Sunday, so some weekend work will be required.

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act. One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest in our front-line worker pay in line with the Living Wage increase each April. Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues. And so, if you start with us between now and 31 March your pay will be £12.50 and then from the 1st April, this will increase to £13.01.

Your values:

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.

Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to us, so we look for people with:

  • A problem solver
  • Resilience
  • Patience
  • Empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others
  • A strong work ethic
  • Reliability
  • Honesty
  • Determination
