Job summary

A leading social care provider in the UK is looking for a Female Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support for vulnerable adults. The role offers 35 hours per week at £12.71 per hour. Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, physical and learning disabilities, and mental health issues.
  • Willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individual support plans and activities.
  • Communicate effectively with service users and families.
  • Support service users with meals, cleaning, and social events.
  • Maintain accurate notes and records.
  • Work as a part of a team to provide high-quality care.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
  • To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
  • To support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events.
  • To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required.
  • To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.
Personal Characteristics
  • Diploma (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one.
  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
  • The ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills
